Like many great products, 
immaculate® was born 
out of need.

Post-operation, one of our co-founders, Lynne Cadenhead, started having days-long awful hangovers whenever she drank alcohol. This self-confessed party girl realised she needed to find a way of enjoying alcohol-free ‘mindful socialising’ yet still enjoy her favourite G&T taste!

And she discovered she wasn’t alone.

The more people Lynne spoke to, the more she discovered others who wanted to cut down or cut out alcohol but couldn’t find anything decent to drink.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Over the past twenty years, the market for alcohol-free drinks has shown impressive growth. A September 2024 NHS survey revealed that 19% of UK adults now live alcohol-free, up from 16% in 2011. 64% of consumers across the top 10 global markets are now moderating their alcohol intake.

This growth has been driven by increased health awareness, the "sober-curious" movement, and a desire for complex flavours and unique experiences without alcohol. 

We are more aware than ever about the benefits of wellbeing, of being present in the moment and of being able to make consciously positive choices about the products we consume.

Everything Lynne tried tasted artificial and was usually sugar laden. Not great to drink and definitely not good for you. She wanted the taste of a classic and zingy G&T but without the alcohol.

So, she put together a team of people who all felt passionately as she did about developing a premium, 100% alcohol-free, botanical distillate. A refreshing drink that was natural, low in sugar, steeped in provenance and developed with authenticity, integrity and wellbeing at its heart.

And so immaculate® was born.
